DVD-Second Chance
The movie is set in contrasting venues: the well-to-do suburbs, and the gritty inner-city. While the tensions between these are obvious and evident, a deeper level explores the universal tendency to pursue comfort and security. Viewers are brought into this human drama and come out challenged to give their lives, not just their dollars.
The film is driven by music from the beginning to the end. Third Day gets the ball rolling with a jarring rendition of Movin\' On Up, and Michael W. Smith closes the film with a new song he penned with Steve Taylor, All in the Serve. In between these bookend songs, the film goer is treated to music from artists such as John Legend, Fred Hammond, Rueben Studdard, Jars of Clay and Donnie McClurkin. Michael W. composed and performed much of the score in the film as well.
