If there were 6 stars - 10 stars I would give these NEST New Testament cartoons that much. It is my very considered opinion that the makers of the New Testament stories especially - were inspired. I have watched every one of the New Testament cartoons and each story touches my heart. Some have wrung my heart such as "The Good Samaritan", "The Prodigal Son", "Worthy is the Lamb" and certainly "He is Risen". Best of all these cartoons have helped my children and Grandchildren to see that the people of the New Testament are and were just as real - problems and triumphs - as you and me.

I have all three of these videos and each one is a jewel. Someone did a lot of praying and pondering as they worked on each one of them. I cannot say enough of the great spirit that is felt while watching any one of these.

I teach junior church and purchased this to show my class (3rd-5th) on Easter sunday. They were so into the movie and made comments through out. The movies did a fantastic job telling the story and in a way children can understand without having to see some of the violent things that occured during that time.

This is without a doubt some of the best programming for children in the history of cinema or television. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is because the story which starts at the crucifixion is a bit hard for the younger ones to follow, but it is still excellent.

We showed this in Children's Church on Palm Sunday, the Passover and betrayal, then on Resurrection Sunday, the crucifixion story and He is Risen, and today we showed the "Kingdom of Heaven". The children clapped at the end! Tonight, my 10 year old son brought up the story about the 10 virgins (from the "Kingdom of Heaven" and why they weren't allowed into the Kingdom of Heaven. The movie had an obvious impact on him! Thank you!

This video is very well done. I like how it links the Old Testament prophecies to the Gospels.

"These are a few of the wonderful testimonies that we have witnessed after showing the Animated Stories of the New Testament series. We have a Soup Kitchen where we are feeding over 300 people every night and at least three times a week are showing the films to those who come. They include transvestites, glue sniffers, drunks, families with no place to live, kids that live on the streets, drug-addicts, elderly and anyone who needs a meal. "Many have accepted the Lord after seeing these films." "Another one said, after being fed, 'You guys are giving us "Bread From Heaven", relating the film to what he is receiving there." Every night is being asked if we are going to show a film, they craved for them. The wonderful thing is that they are learning about Jesus through these films, it is so exciting to see the power of God manifested in these lives thru these films." -Janet Volkman, The Lord's Kitchen, Guatemala City, Guatemala Central America

"How was Sunday school?" I asked my son last Sunday after church. "Great," he replied, "The kids in my class called me 'Smarty'-in a good way, because I knew all the answers." "Well, that's 'cuz you read the Bible a lot, right?" I asked. It seemed logical to me. "I do, but that's not why I got them right. I got these answers because I watched all those NEST DVDs. KIDS FIRST! strikes again!! We reviewed a bunch of the NEST titles before Christmas, and they are already working their magic. As Chris mentioned, we have just finished evaluating a large collection of films from Nest Family Entertainment. I was most familiar with their Biblical storytelling films. Much to my surprise, they also have a large collection of films about inventors and historical figures such as Abraham Lincoln and Florence Nightingale. This weekend, when my grandson was visiting for an overnight, I tried to ply him away from Fairy Odd Parents and Max & Ruby to watch some of the Nest titles. I have to admit that he, like most 5-year-olds, is influenced strongly by cover art and familiar titles. It took a bit of coaching but at last, I got him to watch Benjamin Franklin: Scientist and Inventor and The Wright Brothers. He loved both and told me, "Granny Ranny, I have to watch both of these again so I can learn everything." We're finishing the evaluations for all of these this week and will be posting them to our website so be sure to visit our new endorsements page to find them. You'll be glad you did. Thanks Nest for making these videos!
