The Language Arts lessons and practice test integrate cross-curriculum content and are divided into three areas:
spelling—cloze items and spotting misspelled words
language—mechanics, expression, and use of resources
rubric-scored writing—students write narrative, expository, or descriptive paragraphs

Lesson content offers students real-world connections. Test-taking tips increase accuracy and boost confidence. Score writings using your school's rubric, or the rubric provided in the series Teacher Guide.

In just 12 days, students are test ready, after practicing with:
optional pretest
ten practice lessons—spelling, language, writing
timed practice test (post test)
The series correlates to basal texts and standards-based tests, and supports NCTE initiatives.
