For more than eight decades, the name Walt Disney has
been preeminent in the field of family entertainment. From humble
beginnings as a cartoon studio in the 1920s to today's global
corporation, The Walt Disney Company continues to proudly provide quality entertainment for every member of the family, across America and around the world.
Disney Studios is the foundation on which Disney was built, and at its
heart are world-renowned animated features and live-action motion
pictures. With the creation of Mickey Mouse and Snow White and the
Seven Dwarfs, the world's first full-length animated feature, the
Disney name quickly became synonymous with quality entertainment for
the whole family. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937) pioneered a new form of family entertainment, and more than seven decades later, Walt Disney Animation Studios continues to honor its heritage through animated films that combine beautiful artistry, masterful storytelling and ground breaking technology. The Disney movies continue to be a source of wholesome entertainment for people of all ages!
Disney also includes the Disney Princess franchise, based on fictional characters who have been featured as part of the Disney character line-up. They are: Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, Pocahontas, Mulan and Tiana. The franchise has released dolls, sing-along videos, and a variety of other children's products, and apparel featuring the Disney Princesses.
