Constitution Week
On September 17, 1787, the U.S. Constitution was signed by delegates of the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia's Independence Hall. In honor of this historic event, the week of September 17 through September 23, is now known as Constitution Week. Make sure you and your children appreciate the historic significance of this week and what it means for our nation.
"We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."
