Perseverance: "The Secret of Success"
The Secret of Success is actually a number of short stories about perseverance. Miles has set a goal of raising money for a new library. EJ's goal is to bounce a soccer ball off his garage 100 times. Derek's goal is to teach Izzi a new sport: curling. And Franklin's goal is to teach the other cars perseverance. When the cars become frustrated, it appears that they will not reach their goals. Franklin knows that the only way to achieve difficult things is to never, ever quit.
Sportsmanship: "The Winning Goal"
The Winning Goal is the story of EJ becoming completely frustrated with his soccer coach. Maria is the coach and she wants the game to be played with "sportsmanship." EJ is upset because he does not understand the true meaning of sportsmanship.
Self-Discipline: "Road Rage"
Road Rage is the story of Johnny's attempt to make the Auto Stunt Thrill Team. When he fails, he becomes angry and speeds off down the road. It is a scary scene when Johnny is tearing down the road, not thinking clearly. Anything could happen - and does. Clearly, Johnny did not have self-discipline. He lets his emotions control his behavior. The consequences could have been very bad.
This race features: Perseverance, Sportsmanship and Self Discipline.
