Our story begins when Drey Carter has been arrested for drugs. In fact, he's also been abusing alcohol and cheating on his girlfriend. However, just for today, he'll have one last chance to do what's right.
Over one hundred years ago, Dr. George Washington Carver was also faced with a life-changing choice. On his way to becoming rich and famous, Dr. Carver was asked by Booker T. Washington to give it all up for some people he didn't even know. The reasons for what he decided upon and why he did are many things that can inspire us, even today!
In a world ripped apart by school violence and drug abuse, Dr. Carver's simple message to today's youth stands as a lighthouse in the fog.

This DVD comes with a Teacher and Student Handbook with contains lessons and activities to help reinforce what is taught in the video. Vocabulary, history, and other subjects are taught through activities, games, quizzes, and even suggested field trips.
