The Animated Story of Joan of Arc Video on Interactive DVD with Resource Book Description
Joan of Arc(c. 1412-May 30, 1431) was born in a village in Lorraine, France and was dubbed a saint of the Roman Catholic Church and a national heroine of her homeland.
At the tender young age of 12, Joan of Arc began to experience visions. Towards the end of the Hundred Years’ War, she had a vision that instructed her to recover her homeland from English rule. Through sheer, bold faith, she rallied her countrymen to a few surprising victories! The celebration was short-lived, however. Through treachery of the English forces, she was kidnapped, put on trial for heresy, branded as a witch and then burned at the stake at the age of nineteen.
